Welcome to Orange Grove Center!

Orange Grove's day services will not take place on November 26th & 27th due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Orange Grove was established in 1953 by families of children with intellectual disabilities in Hamilton County, TN, who desperately needed educational services.

Orange Grove serves approximately 1,000 individuals, and employs approximately 800 professional staff members to provide a wide array of community services.

About the October 27, 2015 Parent Meeting

Orange Grove Center has recently been at the center of recent news coverage regarding the changing landscape of funding for services and programs for the individuals we serve.  We have been gratified and humbled at the outpouring of support and concern we have seen from the community, including the attendance of more than 400 interested people at a meeting at OGC on Tuesday, October 27.  We were fortunate to host a number of representatives from both TennCare and Tennessee’s Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD), who were on hand to present information about the future of funding and the delivery of services to some of our community’s most vulnerable individuals.  We were gratified to learn that, despite significant changes on the horizon, TennCare and DIDD have no intention of eliminating funding for the facility-based day services provided by Orange Grove.  We invite you to stay involved and be active with Orange Grove. If you do not receive OGC Updates by email, please connect with our Executive Director (khauth@orangegrovel.org) and ask to be added to the distribution list.
