During the month of October, Orange Grove Center is partnering with The City of Chattanooga, in conjunction with the Mayor's Council on Disability, to recognize NATIONAL DISABILITY EMPLOYMENT AWARENESS MONTH.
To kick things off, the two organizations have once again united to coordinate "GoFest!", a festival of activities and events for youth of all ages. The festival specifically caters to individuals with disabilities, but is for persons of all walks of life. It will include an entertainment and sports event at the Zoo, a career day for students and their families, and a showcase with visual and performing artists.
"GoFest!" will be held Saturday, October 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Warner Park Zoo, with a live concert at 5:30 at Frost Stadium. All events are free and open to the public.
Your attendance is encouraged! The Mayor's Office wants you to help "demonstrate that Chattanooga is doing its best to become a truly accessible and inclusive city."
