OGC Clients Compete in the 2008 Special Olympics Winter Games

On January 27 through January 30, Michael Duke, Travis Henderson and Paul Leamon all competed in the 2008 Special Olympics Winter Games held in Gatlinburg, TN.

Duke and Henderson competed in the Alpine Skiing event, while Leamon competed in snowboarding.  Duke came in second and third, receiving silver and bronze medals.  Henderson came in first and sixth, earning a gold medal.  Leamon came in second and third in snowboarding, and was awarded silver and bronze.

Recreation Coordinator, Brandy Beeson, and Recreation Assistant, Teresa Jenkins, traveled with the group on their three-day event.  In addition to competition, daily activities included a fun-filled schedule of movies, snacks, trolley/tram mountainside rides and free time for admission to Gatlinburg attractions.

They all look forward to next year's competitions!
