Kristin Compton, DMD, specializes in special needs dentistry, treating patients with conditions such as, but not limited to, Down syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Fragile X syndrome, Angelmann’s syndrome, and Prader-Willi syndrome.
Compton graduated from
Alice
Lloyd
College in 2003 with a bachelor of science in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry. She attended dental school at the
University of
Louisville, graduating in 2007 with a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry.
She recently completed a fellowship of post-graduate training in special needs dentistry. The fellowship is the only one of its kind in the country, and she is one of only six graduates to complete the program.
Prior to Orange Grove, the Pikeville, KY native worked as an associate dentist in general dentistry, and treated patients in clinics and in operating rooms.
Her memberships include the Louisville Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the
American
Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry.
In her spare time, she enjoys moments with her six-year-old, Jack Russell Terrier, Lexie.
