The staff of Orange Grove organize and participate in staff appreciation month each year, which is also known as "September to Remember."
This year's activities included bocce ball, a cake walk, movies, a talent show, sports competitions, and will end in a cookout to cap off the month. Prizes included baked goods (during the cake walk), special gift baskets, gift certificates to local businesses and restaurants and more.
In addition to September to Remember, there was the drawing for the Dream Vacation, in which one lucky staff member or retiree won a trip to the destination of their choice. To qualify, one must have contributed or solicited $100 dollars or more to the Capital Campaign, through the Kiwanis Great Duck Race ticket sales, Firstgiving.com or by means of personal giving. The drawing was held on September 30, at a special cookout for those who qualified for the trip. The winner is Hal Baker, Deputy Director of OGC.
