A short time ago, my niece, Christina Adams, was a DSP in Mary Lou Bergenback’s class. She eventually left Orange Grove to go active in the Army, and was sent to Liberty, Iraq on December 30, 2008, for a one year tour. If all goes well, she should return to her base in Ft. Hood, TX around December 2009.
Mrs. Bergenback has been a wonderful friend and a person of encouragement to my niece while she has been stationed in Iraq. She has continued to keep in touch by mail with her, as well as sending her goodie boxes often.
She got the idea to include Orange Grove and its employees by sending an email requesting the donation of bats, baseballs, gloves, and other kinds of recreational items not only for my niece, but others in her platoon and to other troops in Iraq. There were several baseballs, two gloves, a bat or two, and frisbees sent to Iraq on behalf of OGC employees.
Thanks to all who donated or gave for this wonderful support in Iraq.
To send goodie boxes, recreational and other items, please mail them to:
